The Greater New Haven National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was founded in 1909 with a mission to ensure the equality of all persons in educational, economic, social, and political arenas. Andrew Crumbie, a member of the New Haven NAACP, is a lawyer and business owner who owns the largest minority business enterprise in law in New England. He gladly supports The Greater New Haven NAACP efforts and works to promote their cause.
The group currently serves the towns of New Haven, Bethany, East Haven, West Haven, North Benford, Branford, Orange, Woodbridge, Milford, Guilford, North Haven, Hamden, Madison, and Cheshire and envisions a society in which all individuals are afforded equal rights without race-based discrimination. The group promotes these efforts through spreading awareness of the adverse effects of racial discrimination and seeking enactment and regular enforcement of civil rights laws on a federal, state, and local basis. Educating those who may be discriminated against of their constitutional rights as well as lawful action that can be taken in order to exercise their rights is also an imperative part of the process is eliminating discrimination for the long term.
Andrew Crumbie, along with many hard working professionals, is helping with The Greater New Haven NAACP efforts to create a better world for the future. As a lawyer, Crumbie sees discrimination cases on a regular basis and hopes to take part in eliminating race-based discrimination and seeing equality for all people.
